Lay anything out on an infinite canvas, with sticky notes, frames and arrows.
Drop it now, sort it later.
Works with and any assistant with MCP
Links, photos, voice notes, files, notes. From your phone, the browser, an AI assistant, or a message on Telegram. It all lands in the inbox, to sort later.
Tap a source to send something.
What one assistant saves, every other one can find and build on. They all connect to the same Brain over MCP, so nothing stays stuck in one app's chat history.
Every note says who wrote it, you or which assistant. Every change is kept, so any edit can be undone in one click.
The same notes, links and files, seen however helps right now.

Open any collection as a mind map: what it holds, branch by branch.
Projects, areas and resources, nested as deep as you like.
Everything and how it ties together, from [[wikilinks]] to collections.
Finds what you meant, not only the words you typed. Ctrl K from anywhere.
Publish a note as a page anyone can read: an itinerary, an article, a small blog.
Notes are Markdown, with live preview, images and [[links]].
Import a vault, folders become collections. Export everything as a vault, boards included.
Install it as an app and share to Brain from anywhere. Telegram works too.
Each app connects a little differently. Pick yours.
Paste this into your assistant. It reads how Brain works and walks you through the rest.
Custom connectors work on every plan (one on Free).
/mcp, choose brain and sign in.Which plans can add custom MCP servers is up to OpenAI.
On Grok Business and Enterprise, an admin adds the connector first.
Ask your Bot in a chat: it adds Brain by its address. Paste this, then sign in to Brain if it asks.
On a team, the Cursor connector policy decides which servers Bots can add.
Yes, for now: any machine that runs Docker, like an Umbrel, a home server or a small VPS. There is no hosted version yet.
It stays in the database on your server. Brain sends no telemetry, and search by meaning runs there too. An assistant only gets in when you approve it, and you can revoke it any time.
Yes. Capturing, the inbox, boards, collections, search and the rest work on their own. Assistants are optional.
Your notes stay on your machine. One Docker Compose stack runs everything.
git clone https://github.com/CarlosLugones/brain cd brain cp stack.env.example stack.env # your hostname and secrets make prod-up
Not in the Umbrel App Store yet. In Portainer, add a stack from
the repository with
docker-compose.production.yml and the variables in
stack.env.example. A Cloudflare Tunnel gives it HTTPS.
